Who Are You?? What Is This??

Firstly I would like to apologise in advance for the poor grammar, spelling and punctuation you will most likely come across on this Blog. English was always my least favourite subject at school. I've never been a good writer and I doubt I ever will be.

Now that I've got that out of the way, let me continue by introducing myself. My name is Matt Heath, but my friends call me Manchild (I'll save that story for another post). I'm 26 years old and live in what I like to call Mudway, Kent. The most important thing you need to know about me, is that I have 4 things in my life that I couldn't live without:

1. Family
2. Friends
3. Music
4. Manchester United FC

(In that order)

I expect that at some point in time, all 4 of these will feature on my blog. But one will take center stage and will become a regular subject of my posts. This will be Music!!!

My taste in music can only be described by one word DIVERSE. If you asked me what genres of music i like, i would reply by saying it would be easier for me to tell you the genres i don't like. I actually gave that questions some thought last night and managed to come up with the following answers:

• Scouse House
• Heavy Metal/Death Metal (Korn, Slipknot etc...)
• Euro Pop/Euro Dance (Basshunter, Cascada[She is fit though] etc...)

I don't proclaim to know every single genre or sub genre of music, but i know quite a few and to have only a small amount that you don't like, i think is pretty cool. I also like to think that it shows my ability to appreciate Good Music for what it is... Good Music.

Now at the other end of the scale, i would say I only have 3 genres that i would call my favourite and i could say that I'm a huge fan of. These are genres where certain songs, albums or artists are closely linked to memories about special people, places or times in my life:

• Neo-Soul
• UK Garage
• R n B

So now you know a bit about me and my love for music, i bet your wondering exactly what this Blog is going to be about. Well this blog is going to be a collection of information, news and my thoughts about Music Past, Present & Future. By doing this I hope to achieve 2 thing's. Firstly i hope to introduce people to new Genres, artists and albums that maybe they haven't heard before, or for some reason decided not to give a real chance. Secondly I hope that by talking about songs and stories from my past, I'll get you guy's remembering the good times from your past.

Now I'm hoping that i can manage at least 2-3 detailed posts a week. With one of them being a regular feature "Let's Take It Back To The Old Skool" this will be where i choose one track from my past and tell you a bit of info about it and also a story about why it means so much to me. I'll also try and add as many small additional posts as i can.

Well i think that's enough of an introduction for now. It's probably time for me to get working on my first proper post and I'm hoping to start how i mean to continue.... with an absolute Banger!!!
